Two Hot Sisters: The Rematch

And it was the lamest rematch of all time.

They played Nutsy. It's like mulitplayer solitaire and it's intense. But...the intensity doesn't translate unless you're playing.

I really need to get these broads arm wrestling again.

Christmas 2012

Best Christmas EVER.

Christmas was an amazing success. Jen and I slept in until almost 10. We had no kids. None. We had time to open each other's gifts.
I got Jen a North Face jacket, pedi/mani gift cert, Running Central gift certificate for new running shoes, stuff from Skin Dimensions, and something else I can't remember. Jen bought me some new Toms that remind me of my Grandpa's chair, some brown work shoes, an American Eagle gift card, basketball shorts and some work socks. Very awesome.
Then we made eggs, bacon, english muffins for breakfast. It was chill and wonderful. We cleaned up. I started making our turkey and Christmas Dinner. I finally left the house a little before 2PM to get the girls. They were chomping at the bit to open presents when they got home. No dice though. We had to wait for Nolan and Nora. They didn't get home until almost 4:30PM. We opened presents. The kids loved their gifts.

Highlights:
Lexi, Megan and Paige got an Apple TV and their first TV for their room.
Lexi got some Toms
Nolan got lots of clothes and a TV
Nora got clothes galore and some Chucks.
They all got some repurposed iPhones to use as iPod Touches.

I put the finishing touches on dinner and we ate. Keeping the food warm is tough. Especially with no microwave.
Everyone liked dinner. They loved my pumpkin pies though.
Oldman came over after a while of us playing with the kids and their new toys. We swapped gifts. He did a great job buying for everyone. The girls got laptops. Jen got k-cups and I got iTunes money.
After Oldman left, we all settled down. Jen and I started watching Breaking Bad in bed while the kids scattered to their corners. We're on Season 4 and it's SO good. We stayed up until 3:30AM. Nutso.
Great Christmas.

The Van Autreve Family Christmas Tree

We are very late to the party but we got our Christmas tree up finally. You'd think with five kids we'd be quicker about it. But then you'd be wrong.

The Gorram Geeks Have Risen

Gorram Geeks

My friends Bryan Anthony and Marc Bolton started up their own geek podcast. I'm secretly jealous. The topics include The Walking Dead, comics, Heroclix, bad movies and whatever else they decide to discuss. Check it out when you have the chance.
